February is Heart Month

Cardiovascular disease remains today’s number one killer in the United States. About one in three deaths are due to stroke or heart disease. The chance for complications only increases as we age. People living with cardiovascular disease such as COPD, CHF, and strokes face a multitude of challenges, including drastically decreased regular activity. But, there is hope! Physical, occupational, and speech therapy for cardiovascular disease is an excellent recovery tool that can even help to reverse some specific effects.
